Sports Apparel: Tennis Uniform

If there’s one thing that does not interest me, it’s sports. However, there are two sports which generally have nice uniforms: tennis and soccer. (It’s only a coincidence that tennis is about the only sport I can actually play, were I one to play sports.)

Strawberry Marshmallow: Episode 8 Commentary

I imagine Miu acts up in class often for the teacher to tolerate it for the duration of the class, but hopefully she’ll keep this distraction in mind when grading the other students’ tests. There’s no telling what’s going on in Miu’s mind when it comes to openly telling the teacher “I copied Chika’s homework” or “Chika won’t let me see her test answers”. Perhaps Chika should have known Miu was up to something with all the drumming practice, but could she even have predicted what Miu would do at the festival? If there were no Miu, Chika’s flute would be safe.

I’m under the impression that summer break is early in the school year (as long breaks go), and that it’s only a couple of weeks or so long. Actually, I thought it was only one week, but the girls here have at least two weeks off. It must be time for me to read up on Japanese schools in more depth.

Strawberry Marshmallow: Episode 5 Commentary

The main thing I picked up from this episode was the mention of parents. Apparently Nobue and Chika’s parents simply haven’t been seen. They’re always either in another room or at work or elsewhere, although it’s appeared just as likely that their parents weren’t living in the same house as them. It was obvious enough that they had to have parents, as someone has to pay the electric bill, pay for food, etc.
