Grandpa’s theory of the Nana-split being related to Nana’s emotions over Kamichika may be rather spot on. First was Mary Lou’s ability to use the blue prism, and now the combined prism is reacting to the girls’ depression over their loss of potential with Kamichika.

While the Nanas talked about Nana being on the committee, their faces seemed to look strange to me the whole time. I don’t know why. Intended style, or bad animating? They do look normal again in their next scene.

Seven of Seven: Episode 15 Commentary

Poor Nana, just as she’s starting to enjoy school, is doing better with her studies and learning, and is spending more time with Kamichika, Nana disappoints Kamichika with her false reason for wanting to enter Yasaka Oogi High. A series isn’t worth watching if only good things happen to the characters, and this is just the thing to keep Nana pushing to succeed. Or to drop her into depression. Probably the latter. Now if only she’d ask Kamichika what his own reason is. That could be interesting.

Seven of Seven: Episode 14 Commentary

Another package arrives for Nana, and this time a Billy fish keyring appears to be the sent item. This is the second item of this fish sent from America, so it must be an American character which Nana’s mother thinks Nana will like. With a name like “Billy”, and the Billy store seen this episode, it’s a good bet that he’s an American character. I’m not sure if Billy is the name of all the fish, or just the blue-faced ones, or just Nanakko’s single one, though. (My money’s on Billy being the blue-faced one.)
