Petite Princess Yucie: Episode 22 Commentary

Yet another new character is introduced. Shown before, it’s now know Diablos is the name of the one attacking the fairy king. With Diablos’s attack continuing, Beth is quickly reminded of how she lost of faith in others. This cannot bode well for Cocoloo’s efforts on Beth joining the other candidates.

Petite Princess Yucie: Episode 20 Commentary

With just more than a few episodes remaining, a new character has appeared. I knew that crystal flower contraption looked like it held a dark secret, but it seems Ercell is not the one behind it. Being Platinum Princess will mean more than getting a wish, and it seems the Platinum Princess will be decided at a Final Scene. While Beth has passed the Scene of Light, there’s still the spirit world’s crystal flower to be obtained.

On Character Epsiodes

It’s funny how ones views can change so drastically over time by more experience with things. One year I’m excited by “character episodes”. A “character episode” here refers to an episode whose sole purpose is to showcase a character. To reveal information about that character. To parade that character around, and show what they are like. To show how the character reacts, and what’s going on in their own personal life. The main character gets so many episodes about his quest to defeat the powerful villain, or her pinings for that cute guy from class. Let’s see some time for the side-characters! And a year later, I find myself preferring not to have character episodes.
