It must be nearing the end of the series, as a lot of new faces are being shown. I’m not sure if that exactly makes sense, but that’s what’s happening. Sato and a lot of the others seen in the intro hardly had an appearance, and now there are new characters appearing for at least a couple of episodes.

I’ve been under the impression Janggeum’s mother passed on. I don’t recall what the subtitles in the first series said about her mother, but I gather the joining rings Janggeum has belonged to her and her mother. I originally thought they belonged to Janggeum’s parents, but Janggeum’s father has never been mentioned. Not once.

Another scene with the young queen’s father in an ill state is shown. Either I completely missed what happened to him, or I completely forgot about it. All I know is Lady Han recalled something about it, and now this.

This episode has to be the most lost I’ve been watching an episode due to the language barrier. Not all was lost, though, as Yeonsaeng took center stage a good portion of the episode.

That had to be quite a bump, as Suro’s whole personality is different. He’s been a loud character since the very first episode he appeared in. Back then, I was afraid I’d get him and Jeong-ho mixed up. Hey, there were a lot of characters to be taking in, after all. One defining difference was Suro’s loudness and Jeong-ho’s quiet nature. Quiet Suro seems contemplative, which is a word hardly suitable for Suro.
