Writing Priorities

One of the numerous reasons I started The Pink Sylphide was to get myself to write more often. For a good length of time, it served that purpose well. It also helped me analyze more thoroughly what I’m watching. In the last year and a half, however, I’ve taken up photography as another hobby. This cuts into my time for my other hobbies.

I have a huge list of “posts to write”, but never time to write them. If I want to write something, the best place for me to go is my fiction writing. With the time spent on photography, my anime hobby leaves me with time to watch, but not time to write. (It doesn’t help with the number of Nintendo DS games I’ve been playing recently, either.) Include the time I’ve spent watching through seasons of Gummi Bears, Rescue Rangers, and DuckTales, and the anime section of my to-watch DVD cabinet isn’t getting empty any quicker. I’m holding off until I have time to both watch and write, but I’ve failed to make the time. I’m also a good month behind on checking out any recent posts on other anime blogs.

I’ll likely continue my Aria posts, under my pre-existing condition that if I have nothing to say on an episode, I simply won’t post on it. I really do need to get together my unfinished Haibane Renmei drafts that I never completed. I have a number of other drafts and things-started (such as posts on Princess Tutu‘s music) that I’d like to continue, but I know I’ll never make time for.

Heya, Chris. It’s BPM. Remember me? Been a while since I last spoke with you. Wonderin’ how life’s been treating you and the such. Interesting stuff you’ve got on your blog.

It’s good to see this blog is still around. I don’t know why but you suddenly sprung into mind and I decided to check out what you’ve been up to (perhaps it was the phrase “chasing rainbows”).

You probably don’t remember me, but I’m not using my usual name anyway.

By the way, DuckTales is an excellent choice.

Erik, I’m curious, is there a name I might recall you under? Funny thing who so many people who knew me previously are randomly looking me up. I replied to BPMΩ via e-mail and I believe I noted him as the fourth in the past two months, so you’re the fifth in that time frame.

Hey, I heard this is the blog a man previously known as Meowth346. You may not remember me, but my AIM name was papermarkis and years ago, around the release of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire versions, me and you exchanged many IMs between each other talking about Pokemon and other things. You really helped me get into competitive Pokemon and helped me learn many things about the series I didn’t previously know. Recently, I did a Wi-Fi event for Pokemon Platinum to obtain the Pokemon Shaymin. In the event, you’re required to write the name of a person who helped you through your Pokemon journey that you give thanks to. I thought of you and all the times I annoyed you with IMs way back then and how you still gave me help and put your screen name on there. Anyway, if you want to contact me, my e-mail was posted as required.
