Petite Princess Yucie: Episode 19 Commentary

We're Here to Serve You! The Master is a Mr. Stubborn

Beth seems to be about ready to open up a little. She’s still uncertain, as her face still goes a bit red around others. Small steps, one at a time.

The maid outfits look really nice. The dress makes for a good look on Elmina.

Elmina still makes me wonder if she isn’t taking shots at Glenda, such as her, “Is that a new bubble game? Please teach me later.” While I am surprised at Elmina’s dish-washing ability, I can’t see her playing some game where she gets covered in bubbles.

Yucie’s beedah face has made a return, but this time from none other than Elmina. It’s more of a whisper from her. Elmina really has changed from getting to know Yucie, and seeing the interactions between Yucie and Glenda, and probably seeing the friendship between Yucie and Cocoloo as well. Before coming to the human world, she’d undoubtedly see making such a face as something childish, an act she was too proper to perform. After the princess curriculum is over, the girls really need to go to the beach again—maybe Elmina will see something in the sight of the ocean which she missed before.

Cube has some nifty magic if it lets him move wood though air. It’s a touch disappointing to learn it was Cube’s doing, though. At first I expected an invisible Cocoloo appear carrying the wood.

It’s also been a while since Cube’s purchased magic has come to save the day. It’s nicely done this time around, as it’s a small task compared to the greater things going on.

Elmina definitely gets the emotional parts that bring tears to your eyes, doesn’t she?

Beth’s turn for the judgment of light arrives. It seems all that’s left is a Cocoloo episode, perhaps a Beth episode, a finish for Arc and his father, and then wrapping up the series.
