Things certainly have taken a turn for the worst for the Choe family. I know Jeong-ho headed Choe Pansul’s capture, but who was behind having Lady Choe and Geum-yeong imprisoned? They must have been taken in just in case they were working with Pansul.

I’m glad to see the series didn’t try to go in the direction of Janggeum’s mother still being alive. When the yin-yang man said something about Janggeum’s charm, and presumably about her mother, he could have recognized the design and knew which village Janggeum was from.

The three who had left the group in the building and set it on fire look impressed to see they made it out alive. I’m not certain who their target is. If it’s any of the girls it would be Janggeum, or there’s Lady Han, but it probably isn’t one of the soldiers. Whichever they’re after, they add another three to the quickly growing cast of villians, alongside the possibly-defeated white-haired man, and the old woman. There’s also the masked man. His hair could be the same as Hwan’s, but anywhere where one can compare (such as the lower back, or upper front) is covered.

With Jang Suro appearing at the end of the episode, it would have been better not to have shown him in the last “next episode preview”. It’s not worth the spoiler to have included it to build anticipation as he hardly shows up in the episode, appearing only long enough to show his confusion of who the kids around him are.

This time around, I thought to look in the ending credits for names. It appears only the main characters are listed by name. No matter for this episode, though, as the newly introduced character is clearly named Sato.
