Watching the episode to this episode, I could almost hear Aika’s voice saying, “No being acquainted with everyone in town allowed!”
Seeing a sky view of Neo-Venezia makes me wonder how much of the city’s paths were mapped out. Could I locate areas from prior episodes, and paths taken, on that sky-view map of the city seen at the start of the opening theme? No one would notice a lack of consistency on this level, I’m certain.
Today is Festa Del Bòcolo, during the Acqua Alta–and yet nothing was heard of the festival during the previous Acqua Alta. My guess is that Acqua Alta and Festa Del Bòcolo are on different days (the former by solar and lunar events; the latter by specific calendar date), and they simply lined up on the same day this year.
Akari asks what one would do if they found an unfamiliar entrance on a street they always walk down. I know my answer. Time allowing, I’d definitely check it out. I’m always amazed when I find something I never noticed on a path very familiar to me.
The transition from young Jang-Geum to older Jang-Geum started out a bit slow for me. Some episodes were nice, but something seemed to have been lost over the years. Jang-Geum’s triumph in growing the herb began the change to an even better series, as Lady Han and Jang-Geum continually swapped wins for loses for wins back and forth with Lady Choi and Keum-Young.
