It did seem that Kuu had a dream of flying someday, but I think she was named for her experiences in the cocoon. When watching episodes in English first, and when there's really no sign of "Japanese" culture (that <em>does</em> look like Japanese on the paper in the booklet), it's easy to miss something like that. Considering pages get torn out, I'm left thinking, "Oh yeah, duh." Thanks for pointing that out, as it really does change the whole view of things there! Ha, I didn’t even think about that. Considering this, it becomes expected for humans to know little about them, beyond any dealings with the renmei on matters of employment. That could be.
