Now that I'm home from work rather than walking out the door, I can give a little more of a reply. The screenshots on this page, the one of Sakura rollerblading is from the remastered release. The other two, lower-quality images are from the R1 DVDs.

I actually planned on the line "the usual suspects seen watching girly anime", but 1) that was a bit awkward wording, and 2) that makes us Cardcaptor Sakura watchers sound a little less glorious than we know are =P I like the thought of cabinet members watching Mao-chan to learn ways to increase their approval rating. "Hm, if I enlist an eight year old girl with pink hair into the military..."

I'm curious as to whether your set is an R1-based bootleg or an R2-based bootleg. Any idea? My R1 VS R2 post on the 11th (prelude to my bootleg posts) will show the video quality difference between the two.

Remasters = hanyaa~. They're so nice =D I don't know what the non-remastered Japanese look like to compare, though.

I'm hoping to start on the bootleg posts within about two to three weeks. Having the flu set me off by a week, as well as some other things, including computer problems with both my PC and my laptop at the same time. Now that I've downgraded to 256MB of RAM (from 1GB of now-bad RAM!), my computer's usable again. I hope to work a lot more this weekend on the bootlegs, so I can start getting things about them posted. It's interesting to see how they all compare with one another and individually what levels of quality they have. (I like the one where areas of red color mesh into blobs of green, perfect for viewing Sakura in those red outfits!)

(corporate business owners, emperors, politicians, gang lords, you know, the usual suspects seen watching anime)
That made me laugh when I visualized a tough-looking, tattooed, bandana-wearing sunglasses-sporting gangster watching a elementary school go "Hanyaa~n". XD

You got the remastered DVDs already? My hat's off to you on that, despite what you'd say, I'd call you a true hardcore CCS fan. Do you have the reviews for that / the bootlegs yet? I figure they'd be a good read, and I want to see what I'm missing with my $70 season set. >_>
